Skyes have freaked me out a little today. I was sure that I was familiar with their music before, but it looks as though their SoundCloud page has been wiped and material has been uploaded as it if were fresh. Whatever happened, we aren’t too bothered anyway as the stuff we are hearing is pure gold. “A Girl Named Jake” is the only public track they are sharing so far, and it’s a very powerful synthpop number that is sure to go down well in a live environment.

Definitely a NYC band to keep your eyes out for in the future.
