What’s the most impressive thing about Becky Hill? We could come up with a list as long as your arm, but one of our favourite reasons is that she is the only person from The Voice UK who looks like they will have a monstrously successful solo career.

At the moment she seems to be inseparable from her BFF MNEK, and who can blame them when they make such a dynamic songwriting duo. We have supported Becky through her various features and appearances on other people’s hits, but tonight she premiered her first proper single, “Losing” (which of course was produced by MNEK). She has been sitting on this track for two years now, but finally it acts as the lead single to her debut album which we can expect to arrive early next year.

What do we think? It’s obviously a solid release, but personally I still can’t get the Two Inch Punch produced “Caution To The Wind” out of my head. Now that was a song with #1 potential – some MJ “Liberian Girl” shit going on there. Top ten probably for this but I don’t think she will be following up her #1 single “Gecko” just yet.
