If you’re a regular reader of this blog, then you will know that Russ Chimes needs no introduction whatsoever.

However, if you aren’t a regular, then you should know that Russ Chimes is one of my favourite artists around right now. During his domination of 2010 he has produced some of the my all-time favourite remixes (and he currently holds the coveted title of ‘My Most Frequently Played Track Ever’ on Last.fm).

Although Russ is major in the remix game, he definitely has more than one trick up his sleeve, which is why I am desperately looking forward to his debut Midnight Club EP, which consists of all new original material.

To accompany Midnight Club EP‘s release, Russ has enlisted the help of 23 year old director Saman Keshavarz to produce a 15 minute film, divided into three installments. The three part film tells the tale of love, loss and retribution.

The first installment got its online premiere today, and I am in love with it. The soundtrack is exceptional, whilst the video has a slight Memento feel to it – expertly executed by someone so young.

I’ll stop waffling on as I’m definitely not doing the video justice, the best thing to do is to sit back and watch it yourself.

Part 2 is due to be released online next week and Part 3 the following week – I’m very excited.
