If you had taken a look at Clare Maguire‘s Facebook or Twitter accounts recently then you’d probably think that she had dropped off the face of the earth. Last night I discovered brilliant evidence to suggest quite the opposite.
Lincoln Barrett (aka High Contrast) was a special guest on Hospital Records’ February takeover of Ministry of Sound Radio recently, and the first half of the show was dedicated to the forthcoming release of his new album The Agony & The Exstacy.
One of the exclusives that they dropped was a track called Almost Human, which was co-written by the two artists. Clare is no stranger to dance music, but it was still a surprise to see that she has teamed up with High Contrast as I’m pretty sure this is the first time she has appeared on a drum & bass track.
After soaking the whole thing in thanks to a number of back-to-back listens I can safely say that it’s a pretty great effort from the pair. Remember that you can pre-order The Agony & The Exstacy now via iTunes.
