What We Missed Last Week (08-14 October 2012)

Angel Haze Reservation

Although we try and religiously keep up with all the new music we come across every single day, there are certain situations where certain songs do not get posted up for whatever reason.

We thought that it would be better to lump all of that music into one huge bumper blog post instead of it never making an appearance on the site at all, so here it is!

Purity Ring Belispeak II Danny Brown

We love Purity Ring, we love Danny Brown, so what could be better than the two of them linking up together for a brand new reworked version of “Belispeak“? Nothing, that’s what.

Purity Ring – “Belispeak II” feat. Danny Brown

Last week we gave away two tickets to see up-and-coming MC Angel Haze in London, and now she has christened her mini-tour of England by dropping the visuals her new single “Werkin Girls“. We are expecting big things from this lady come the release of her debut studio album.

If you haven’t already picked up her free mixtape “Reservation“, then click here to grab it now.

The Aston Shuffle Sunrise Wont Get Lost

The Aston Shuffle are are Australian act that we have been meaning to post about for a while now, so it seems a bit strange that the first bit of writing we will do about them is because of this collaboration on “Sunrise (Won’t Get Lost)” with fellow Aussie Tommy Trash.

Expect more posts about them in the very near future.

Disco Ensemble Second Soul Lenno & Jesse Oliver Remix

We have been touting the talents of Finland’s 17-year-old Lenno for quite some time now, but this collabortive remix with Helsinki producer Jesse Oliver could possibly be some of his finest work to date.

The duo have taken on fellow countrymen Disco Ensemble’s single “Second Soul”, and the results are uplifting as fuck. Enjoy.

I couldn’t help posting up this sweet cover of The Jackson 5‘s “I Want You Back” by Lake Street Dive. What a voice!
