Yikes. I really wanted to hit the hay (because I’m absolute knackered), but this track “Miko” by The Chain Gang Of 1974 is simply too good not to address straight away. If indie rock is going to make a proper resurgence in the next few years, then “Miko” is the exact template that I want them to follow.
It has the perfect pacing of tranquillity and frenetic energy in equal measure. This is making me reminisce of some heydey-era Bloc Party. Love it.
