The 1975’s recently released Sex EP, features one of my favorite tracks of the year, “Sex“. With it’s guitar driven sound and catchy hook, the song has me coming back for repeated plays. From their SoundCloud, I found these two remixes by talented producers which have either changed or accentuated the song in their own way.

Hackman delivers on this subtle, warm and groovy remix of the track. Pitched down vocals accompanied by a spacey synth, soft drums and a funky bassline flips the guitar sound of the original to straight deep house vibes. Check it out below:

The 1975 – “Sex” (Ryan Hemsworth Remix)

Ryan Hemsworth’s take on the track is quite different from Hackman’s, as he preserves the vocals from the original, but switches the overdriven guitar to a delicate melody which changes the song’s feel from an uptempo rocker to a chilled out, smooth and wavy song.
