As we promised last week, Mike Skinner has delivered The Streets‘ latest mixtape Cyberspace & Reds, but not exactly in conventional form.
Skinner took to his blog to announce that the mixtape would be avaliable to those who had an iPhone and a can of 300g Cream of Tomato Soup. No i’m not joking.
For fans to get their hands on the mixtape, they were given instructions to download an iPhone app called “Mike Scanner” in order to scan an initial barcode, and further instructions to scan the barcode on a “300g tin of tomato soup by a well known brand”.
Working next door to a supermarket obviously does have its advantages so I was able to get the link this morning. I love the amount of effort that Skinner has gone to in order to concoct this bit of fan interaction, so this download is only here really for those without access to an iPhone and a Heinz affiliated supermarket.
