By now you all must be familiar with “Too Much“, which is track #12 from Drake’s most recent album “Nothing Was The Same“, but I bet you didn’t know that it was a song in its own right before Drizzy got his hands on it. To be fair neither did we, but thankfully Sampha took to Zane Lowe‘s Radio 1 show just a few minutes ago to deliver the original in its full form.

Sampha originally wrote this back in July during a brief stay in New York, but you’re asking how eventually it changed hands, right? The story goes that Drake was looking for music during the Summer for a new album and Sampha sent over some music and instrumentals to showcase what he had been working on (at Drake’s request). Eventually Drake sent over word that he had chosen the song to sample for his new album, and that it would be accompanied by production from Nineteen85.
