The first of today’s tracks actually came via a housemate of mine who said that he had heard a remix of Rihanna’s smash hit Rude Boy. I know Rude Boy is fairly old now but I still think this mashup is well worth a listen, if just for the drop. The other half of the mashup is UB40’s Kingston Town. A clash of the classic versus the contemporary, which works pretty well in this case. Give it a listen.

A while back I posted about my indecision towards the genre of dubstep as I have never really ‘got’ it, as it were. So I decided to go out and buy a few CD’s and to be fair I have certainly warmed to the genre and I love the work of Skream in particular. I think I enjoy the work of Skream because it is not heavy dubstep and he incorporates a drum and bass elements to his tracks. The dubstep track I have chosen here is a remix by Adam F of Afrojack featuring Eva Simons. It’s pretty decent I think.

I’ve listened to the new White Lies album a few times and I can’t get into it which is a huge shame because I absolutely love the first album and they have one of the most unique sounding front men around. This remix is by Yusek of Farewell to Fairground from their first album. Big love for this.
