So Pendulum have had a bit of a lull since their last album Immersion, with Rob Swire focusing attention more on his new project Knife Party which we’ve heard from before on Details a few weeks ago.

However in April of this year, following the devastating earthquake in Japan, the boys officially released a track from which all proceeds will go to disaster relief charities – Ransom. I’ve always been a big fan of Pendulum, though obviously spotting a great chance for some easy publicity this song is at least 2 years old and I think I preferred the ripped one where the resident DJ spat ‘big ups’ for the duration. Nevertheless, it’s for a good cause and I’m sure this will begin to satisfy the withdrawal symptoms of most fans before the next Pendulum fix rumoured for sometime in the final quarter of 2011. Included is a remix of The Island by the best French 17 year old ever, Madeon. I’ve also attached an incredible rendition of theirs ripped from Glasto’ two years ago, which I can’t find a studio version for. Possibly through my own ineptitude.
