Katy B wasn’t the only artist to appear in the Live Lounge over the past few days, dubrock 4-piece Modestep were also invited down to Maida Vale to perform their very first Live Lounge session for Radio 1Xtra.

They performed two of their biggest hits to date, Feel Good and Sunshine, both heavily infused with a perfect mixture of rock and dubstep elements. They also unleashed an amazing cover of The Pointer Sisters‘ classic Slow Hand, which was a very inventive interpretation.

This was an incredibly impressive debut and I was especially loving the guitar work that was on show – a great demonstration of their technical proficiency.
