Although more famous for his own jams, The Weeknd takes a back seat on this track providing only bits of backing vocals and gets his hands dirty with remixing duties instead. Dousing Lorde’s sweet vocals with looming strings and subdued drums, he turns this track towards darker (and more familiar territory). I personally wouldn’t mind a collaboration between these two artists, it would be pretty interesting to hear Lorde’s innocent sounding vocals juxtaposed with the Weeknd’s seductive crooning.
