Future wife also welcomed High Contrast to her show on Friday to receive his forthcoming remix for London Grammar‘s new single “Strong“. I was initially quite excited about this as I think Hannah (future wife #2) has an excellent voice that would lend itself well to a liquid d&b track.
However, the problem that I have with this effort stems from the fact that I still haven’t come off the high of his “Hometown Glory” remix for Adele, which is in the perfect position for a direct comparison between the two. Both are/were fresh, talented, female vocalists with immensely powerful voices, with an interesting lyrical subject matter, but When you compare his HG effort with this one, it just sounds gimmicky.
Maybe this one should have been handled by a different member of the Hospital Records roster.
