Before I get shouted down, this isn’t strictly new music. However, since Lemâitre are just beginning to make a name for themselves and they should put everyone in a good mood for summer, I thought I’d share the love. The duo from Norway are still pretty new to the electronic scene, and are consequently filled with all that humility that I’m sure a lot of popular musicians start with. It probably explains why their music is all free.
Anyway, check out The Friendly Sound and Blue Shift below, two of the songs that’ll hopefully just make you think of being sat in a field having a cheeky sip of Pimm’s with your pals. Their melodies are more excitable than Wall-E when he found that fire extinguisher, yet the overall sound is so chilled. No drops, no huge basslines, just happiness in a can.
