Labrinth is no stranger to BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge as he has appeared there several times in the past, but today was the first time that he took his rightful place as the headlining act.
With a string section, a small choir and Tinie Tempah in tow, Labrinth delivered a fantastic rework of his forthcoming single Earthquake that included a trademark Drum ‘n’ Bass breakdown towards at the end. It was obvious that the talented young producer was going to smash his delivery of Earthquake, but the manner in which he rearranged his own work for the live session was pretty special.
To follow up, Labrinth took on Chris Brown‘s popular summer dance track Beautiful People, slowing it down whilst embellishing with some fantastic guitar work.
There have been some amazing Live Lounge performances this year and Labrinth’s appearance was definitely up there with the best of them. Much credit to the Radio 1 team who have done an amazing job this year.
