Since releasing his debut album, J. Cole has only been showing us glimpses on what his sophomore album would sound like through teasers or quick live performances of his songs. After recently announcing the title and release date for his album, we finally get a proper cut of the album through “Miss America”.

The sound is darker and Cole adds some introspective bars on the guitar driven beat. The opening is definitely a nod to label boss and rap king, Jay-Z’s PSA. “Miss America” is available today through iTunes and the album is expected to drop on Jan 28th, 2013.
