It seems that in my obsession to keep reminding you about how many huge stars were visiting the Maida Vale Studios recently, I totally forgot the fact that Hurts had already appeared there. Massive error.

Not content with the “typical” way of doing things, Hurts rocked up to the BBC accompanied by a string section and an opera singer. Immense.

The Manchester duo performed an alternative version of their current single Better Than Love, in addition to a cover of Diana Vickers’ hit, Once.

Again, it was a surprising choice of cover song, but it worked well, and that’s what it’s all about.
