The Live Lounge is pretty busy this week hosting several major artists, and today was the turn of Bruno Mars who was there to perform his UK #1 single Grenade and a delicious cover of Katy Perry‘s hit California Gurls. Probably the best I have heard in a long time actually.

Bruno’s debut album Doo Wops & Hooligans looks like it will be stealing the #1 spot this week too which is fantastic news. Just under a year ago we were fully behind him when he dropped his debut EP It’s Better If You Don’t Understand, so it’s nice to see that he has reached the heights that we predicted he could achieve. His voice is without question one of the best in pop music right now.

It was a shame about his drugs bust, but it clearly hasn’t hindered his progress and I guess nobody is perfect!
