This isn’t the first time that Benjamin Francis Leftwich has been invited to the Live Lounge, but it is the first opportunity he has had to sing live on a prime-time Radio 1 slot. Previously he had been asked to sing at Maida Vale for Zane Lowe, but today was the first time that he embraced the traditional Live Lounge format with Fearne Cotton in charge.

Ben chose to first sing a live rendition of his beautiful single Pictures, following up with an amazing cover of David Guetta & Sia‘s #1 single Titanium. For once it was really nice to have the electro totally stripped back and replaced with the soothing sounds of an acoustic guitar. I think come the end of the year we will be definitely hailing this as one of the best Live Lounge efforts of 2012.
