Hear that sound? It’s millions of tiny waves of disappointment crashing over the ears of Usher fans who thought he was going to do something different with his seventh studio album “Looking For Myself“.
If you’re not sure what I’m talking about yet, take a listen to his second single from the album called “Scream“, which is produced by longtime Top 40 hitmaker Max Martin et al. Whereas the Diplo produced single “Climax” was a breath of fresh air into his ailing choice of instrumentals, “Scream” takes him firmly back into David Guetta territory where he seems most comfortable releasing mediocre music.
“Looking For Myself“Â is set to drop on June 12, with production coming from: Pharrell Williams, Empire of The Sun, Shellback, Swedish House Mafia, and Danja, so there’s definitely still hope left, but if you don’t mind me I’m going to turn this shit off and start bumping some “8701” instead.
