Tinie Tempah has been over in America for the past few months trying to add himself to that exclusive list of artists who have managed to ‘crack’ the American market.

This new single ‘Til I’m Gone is his latest attempt to bridge the gap, and he has pulled out the big guns by asking for back-up from Wiz Khalifa and Stargate. I assumed that he would be adapting his style and wordplay to fit in with his new audience, but he has surprised me by sticking to his guns, using pretty specific English idioms and jokes.

Tinie has received pretty decent exposure in the US already, as his single Written In The Stars was selected as this year’s official theme music for Wrestlemania 27. Although, whether he can emulate Adele’s #1 single/#1 album success at the top of the Billboard charts still remains to be seen.
