Is it too late to make new year’s resolutions? I’ve definitely been impressed with some of the submissions we have had in the inbox lately, which is a surprise considering they are usually a crock of shit. A perfect example are Sleep Thieves – a trio hailing from Dublin. They are comprised of Sorcha Brennan, Wayne Fahy, and Keith Byrne, who met through Twitter where they bonded over film soundtracks, vintage synths, and recording.
These guys create gorgeous dark synthpop in a similar vein to College, and we just fell in love with them on first listen. Surprisingly it seems as though they haven’t picked up much coverage with the blogs yet, with only Nialler9 (the Irish connection) giving them some proper shine thus far. Expect this to change dramatically though, as these guys just ooze class.
Their debut album is dropping this Spring and we can’t bloody wait.
