In what we are now dubbing Feisty Female Friday (#FFF on Twitter) (or maybe even Teashade Sunglasses Friday #TSF), we have yet another talented artist for us to showcase. The first thing that struck us about Sizzy Rocket is the fact that she is obviously a very talented singer songwriter who has big things ahead of her.
From what we have seen, Sizzy was meant to release an EP last year called “Thrills“, but this seems to have been scrapped in favour of a debut album called “Thief“, which is due out this spring. “I Wanna Rob” looks like it is the first single from the release, and it has the kind of chorus that you know will stay in your head for days.
Anyway, maybe we haven’t described her well enough, so we will let her do it herself:
Disregard the fact that I go to the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU, that I was on America’s Most Talented Kids when I was a youngster, that I’ve been recording endlessly with my production team The Co-Stars in LA whenever I’m not studying (ahem, partying), that I design my own artwork, that I’ve played almost every venue in my hometown of Las Vegas from a jam-packed House of Blues to a small crowd of sunken-faced scenesters at The Alley Theater, that I wrote a song with will.i.am, Natasha Bedingfield, and Yoko Ono when I was 16 (all at the same time), that I wear art glitter from my neck to my ankles because John Vaccaro endlessly inspires me, disregard my obsessions, my highs lows and imperfections, because the only thing that matters is now.
