Some Rock!

Although I realise I’m quite late with a few of these tracks, I thought that there was a distinct lack of rock on my blog as of late!

Creed – Overcome

Even though I was personally told by Mark Tremonti that Creed would never reform, recent events suggest quite the opposite. They recorded a new album, entitled “Full Circle” in Nashville during this summer and their first single in 7 years is called “Overcome”. I don’t personally like Creed but here is the single anyway:

Brand New – At The Bottom

Another band with a new single from a new album are Brand New. I quite like this track and their new album “Daisy” is will be released on the 22nd of September.

Wolfmother – New Moon Rising

The last time we heard from Wolfmother it was a message from Universal Records informing us that drummer Myles Heskett and bassist/keyboardist Chris Ross had decided to leave the band due to “irreconcilable differences”. This left lead singer Andrew Stockdale all alone on his barry 🙁

Instead of crying into his afro it seems that Andrew has been keeping himself busy by recruiting (bassist and keyboardist) Ian Peres, (guitarist) Aidan Nemeth and (drummer) Dave Atkins to aid him in carrying on the Wolfmother name.

New Moon Rising is a decent track and does sound old school Wolfmotherish but I will be more interested to see what the new album sounds like instead of making an outright decision now.

Flyleaf – Again

I’m quite a big fan of Flyleaf. I loved “So Sick” and “All Around Me” from their self-titled debut album “Flyleaf”, and now they are back with “Again”:
