Although Professor Green has already premiered his new single Read All About It at several of his live performances this year, today was the first time that the studio version of the song has been heard by the general public. Professor Green dropped in to 1Xtra to give his friend Mistajam the exclusive first play of Read All About It.
Read All About It features chorus vocals from Emeli Sandé who managed to achieve a #2 spot in the UK charts herself a few weeks back with her debut single Heaven, so it was a potentially shrewd choice to get her involved. The track is produced by TMS and Ishi, and the sound of Read All About It takes a leaf out of Sandé’s book by incorporating some uplifiting strings combined with some heavy hitting lyrics.
It’s different to his usual work, and I like it.
