We knew that M.I.A. had been cooking up new material since the release of her Vicki Leekx mixtape last year, and with very little notice her new single Bad Girls has made its way to the net.
The thing I like about Bad Girls is that she has obviously gone back to the formula that served her well on her Kala album, by recruiting Timblaland‘s protege, the incredibly talented (and one of my personal favourites)Â Danja for the instrumental. The man is a wizard behind the keys, and he has absolutely dominated the production on this one.
Bad Girls will be available at online retailers tomorrow, Jan. 31, and a video will follow in early February, directed by Romain Gavras (who directed the epic video for Justice‘s Stress).
