Linkin Park – The Catalyst [Updated]

Most Linkin Park fans will still remember the massive change of direction the band undertook when they released their last studio album Minutes To Midnight. Well, get ready to experience that again with their new concept album A Thousand Suns.

Their lead singer Chester Bennington said that Linkin Park are once again working with producer Rick Rubin, and that they have “a shit ton of music” to choose from.

The lead single from this album is The Catalyst, another clear step forward into the electronic genre, that only starts sounding like the familiar Linkin Park we know towards the very end.

This new single was used for a Medal of Honor trailer, and while this it isn’t the full track (which weighs in at 05:42), it’s a decent representation of their new direction.

I’ve ripped my own version of the 05:42 length track. You can download/listen below as usual. Enjoy.
