I’m not generally listening to a lot of acoustic guitar centric music, but there was something special about Leo Stannard‘s new single “Why Don’t We” that drew me in for an extended listen. It might be the exceptional use of instrumentation that has been used to compliment the guitar work, but it should also be noted that the songwriting on show here is top notch too.

Find yourself cycling through the back catalogue of Leo’s work here, and you’ll quickly see that this guy definitely has a big future in the UK scene at least. Watch out for Leo’s forthcoming “Notions” EP (from which this is taken), released in October – which we demand an advance copy of.
