We often see transitions that involve technically proficient DJs crossing the all important musical barrier to become producers in their own right, take Jam Master Jay, A-Trak, and C2C as textbook examples. Often I think this is due to almost complete immersion in the scene as well as an “if they can do it, why can’t I?” attitude. And whilst Jaguar Skills may still be fairly fresh to the original production game, his latest release is getting a runout via RAM Records which means he is definitely doing something right.
