Coldplay do seem to like a festive song release (if anyone can cast their mind back to Mince Spies), so it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that the most popular band in the world have marked their return with another Christmas single.
The video was directed by Mat Whitecross and was filmed in London just days ago on Thanksgiving. It sort of follows on in the same vein as their Life In Technicolor II video – full of colour, explosions and animated sets.
Do we have a UK Chrismas number 1 on our hands here? Possibly not, well unless it reaches the top spot this week and manages to stay there until the end of the month. I can’t see that happening though.
