Whilst some artists such as Frank Ocean and The Weeknd are trying their best to redefine the shape of R&B, other previously famous proponents of the genre feel that dance music is now the way to go.
One of the biggest examples would be Chris Brown who found decent success last year with the release of his singles Yeah 3x and Beautiful People. Clearly still heading down the same path in 2012, yesterday he dropped a full preview of his hideously generic new single Turn Up The Music.
Love it or hate it, expect this to be played a lot. At least we should be thankful he hasn’t ripped off Calvin Harris this time around, that would be awkward…
