Yeah, I know it’s only been 10 hours since our last Calvin Harris post, but thanks to some expert internet sleuthing I’ve managed to hit the jackpot with regards to the radio edit of his new single “Let’s Go“.
I’m pretty sure someone somewhere has majorly fucked up, as the proper vocal version of “Let’s Go” premièred (and went totally unnoticed) during the tail end of Steve Smart‘s Kiss 100 show last night. Definitely not the ideal platform for such an occasion, especially since he made a deliberate effort not to drop it when he caught up with Pete Tong on Radio 1 earlier in the night.
Just as I suspected, Ne-Yo‘s vocals are pretty much perfect for the instrumental, and it’s clear to see that Calvin has yet another smash hit on his hands, irrespective of where “Let’s Go” made its debut.
Calvin was the most successful songwriter in the UK singles chart in 2011, and with “Let’s Go” he looks like he will carry that form into this year too.
