As promised yesterday, here is the second part of my Artful Dodger update which features Mark Hill, who has now decided to adopt the mononym Artful. Staying true to the sound that we used to associate with the group (not that it matters anymore), Artful‘s first single is the impressive Could Just Be The Bassline.

Could Just Be The Bassline was originally recorded with Ed Sheeran, but due to licensing issues with Atlantic Records (surprise, surprise), Artful was forced to look elsewhere for a replacement vocalist. This lead him to recruit Kal Lavelle (who supported Sheeran on his UK tour this year) and she has done a fantastic job as his replacement.

Thankfully we have a studio version of Could Just Be The Bassline to listen to, instead of a radio rip.
