The-Dream has always stated that Prince is one of his biggest influences, and he really channels his style with new track Yamaha, taken from his upcoming album Love King.
The Prince influences on this song are plainly clear to see, from the production, and the vocals, to the lyrics.
Fast Car was a Prince inspired track from The-Dream’s first album, and it seems he is back this time around using a motor vehicle as a metaphor once again (probably a hit tap to Little Red Corvette).
