You may not have heard of The Black Ghosts (a.k.a Theo Keating and Simon Lord) before, but the duo have had quite a varied history in the music industry already.
Theo is a British DJ, musician and music producer who made his name as one half of The Wiseguys, but had most commercial success under his other pseudonym Fake Blood. Simon is also a musical composer, record producer and musician, who was a member of the indie group Simian and now produces music as Lord Skywave.
I was a fan of them as soon as I heard their self-titled debut album, but the first song that really caught me was Full Moon (which unfortunately was later featured on a Twilight OST). That was all the way back in 2008 but they are finally ready to release a new album called When Animals Stare, and the first track to premiere from it is Water Will Find A Way which had its debut on Annie Mac‘s Radio 1 show tonight.
Their diverse musical background is once again reflected in their current material as it’s quite hard to pigeonhole them down to one single genre. I am very much looking forward to a whole LP’s worth of new material and seeing how their sound has evolved since their musical hiatus.
