On Friday night Swedish house superstar Avicii took to Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show to deliver a 30-minute mix of brand new music which we can expect from his controversial forthcoming album.

Ever since he dropped a preview of the now confirmed track “Dear Boy” earlier in the year, the Internet has been abuzz with speculation that he had recorded the song with Lana Del Rey.

For those of us who had been fans since back in the day it was pretty obvious to tell that the track wasn’t recorded with her, simply sung in the same style by someone with close vocals. This was confirmed during Tim’s short interview with Pete on Friday night, and I have since thoroughly enjoyed revisiting old comments and telling certain people “I told you so”.

Decent track none-the-less. Avicii’s upcoming album, “True“, which will be released on 17 September, 2013.
