It doesn’t look like everyone is so happy with the release though, as Portishead’s Geoff Barrow told Pitchfork via Twitter that The Weeknd had used the sample from their track “Machine Gun†without permission:
“When someone asks to sample you and you refuse they should have the respect as a fellow artist to not use it.â€
