When I saw the video for this it was a straight up punch in the nostalgia. I mean it’s pretty cool to see Skepta rapping with someone who was probably one of his idols growing up, but on the other hand you can see exactly why So Solid Crew aren’t relevant anymore.
Same old played out beat, same old unintelligible Megaman lyrics, and the same old music video with Audi TTs driving around London at the dead of night for no apparent reason. There’s some decent bars from Skepta but that’s about it.
By all accounts Skepta‘s new album “Blacklisted” is much, much better though. Grab your copy here.
