Lady Gaga has been hyping up the official music video her new single Judas for a couple of weeks now, and hysteria reached record levels when she angered several high profile Catholic groups, prompting statements of condemnation and disgust.

The video is obviously biblically themed, with Jesus and his 12 disciples being portrayed as a motorbike gang. Lady Gaga plays the character of Mary Magdalene while Judas is portrayed by actor Norman Reedus, who is part of AMC’s popular zombie drama The Walking Dead.

This music video was billed as the second coming of Like A Prayer, but in reality it doesn’t come anywhere close in terms of shock value really.
