Whilst we are talking about live performances using MIDI controllers I just had to cover the latest video from Jeremy Ellis. Although this is really nothing more than a glorified promotional campaign by Maschine, it’s a great watch as well as being a fantastic display of sampling done right.
For those of you who haven’t seen the great man work his magic before then prepare to be amazed. Of course I would expect there to be some kind of internal quantisation implemented by the Maschines, but that’s sadly the case with this kind of music.
Love it or hate it but acts like Jeremy and AraabMUZIK are set to have a big year in 2012 after making a name for themselves with these kinds of technically impressive performances.
