In what has become somewhat of a national tradition now, the BBC Sound of 2011 longlist has just been revealed. The list was compiled using recommendations from more than 160 influential UK tastemakers (bleh!), who were asked to name their favourite new acts.

The entrants must not have had a UK top 20 single or album by 14 November 2010 and must not already be famous, which means several big names were left off the list automatically.

Since we have already covered nearly half of the entrants already, I’m not sure whether I’ll be doing a round-up post on each of those artists. I will be covering the rest of them in detail though.
