Earlier this week the freshly popular Robin Thicke dropped into the Radio 1 and 1Xtra studios to deliver two very special Live Lounge performances. The highlight though was probably his cover of Icona Pop‘s recent single “I Love It”.
Robin Thicke of course had been cruising the UK chart at the #1 position for several weeks with his monster single “Blurred Lines” until he was knocked off the top spot by the Swedish duo, so it kinda made sense for him to choose this as his cover.
I think the best Live Lounge covers happen when the style of the original is completely switched on its head, and that is exactly what has happened with this one. Enjoy.
