Today BANKS ventured into the BBC Live Lounge studios for the second time in a year to deliver an acoustic version of her new single “Brain“, as well as the traditional mystery cover. But she didn’t take a current chart single to cover, oh no. She decided to absolutely smash an acoustic cover of Aaliyah‘s 1998 classic single “Are You That Somebody?“.
Watch out for the switchup of flow about halfway through. This is easily the best cover I have heard in the Live Lounge this year. Flawless.
