Yesterday night A$AP Rocky joined resident DJ Semtex for the 1st ever 1Xtra Live Lounge Late.

It was always a criticism of mine that whenever Radio 1 brought in rappers for a Live Lounge that they didn’t ever properly adhere to the institutional rules of: a live performance, plus a cover of someone else’s work. It looks like this may change with the advent of Live Lounge Late as A$AP Rocky dropped into the studios yesterday to bizarrely cover Gnarls Barkley‘s “Who’s Gonna Save My Soul“, as well as dropping an exclusive freestyle.
