Top 5 @ 5: Dems

Dems Top 5 @ 5

We have been gushing about London based band Dems for quite a while now, so it makes sense that we invited them to be a part of our new feature called “Top 5 @ 5“.

If you haven’t seen this particular segment before then it’s pretty easy to explain; basically we have asked the guys for their current five favourite tracks and an explanation as to why each particular song has been chosen.

To see what Dems picked for this edition, hit the jump now.

Airhead – “Wait”

So nice, it’s like Mogwai with Bjork on vocals. The lo-fi production is sick! Everything Airhead touches is totally beautiful.

Blacksmif – “…And The Sun Rose Out”

We played with Blacksmif at our first ever gig and every time he puts up a new tune, it’s better than the last! This one’s so jazzed up and nice!

Dirg Gerner – “Loose Lights” feat. Rahel

The musicality in this song – voice, instrumentation, drums – is so good. This is off Dirg Gerner‘s debut “Preface EP“, we’re big fanboys and want to hear more!

Four Tet – “Angel Echoes”

Hard to find words to describe this song, we listen to it a lot making our stuff, it’s the best. The build, the atmosphere and composition are all amazing.

Darkness Falls – “Paradise Trilogy II”

Darkness Falls‘ album came out last year but we only heard it last week, Who are they?! We don’t really know. We want to go to Denmark to see them!
