The Shockwaves NME Awards Tour is back for 2011, and it’s bigger and bolder than ever before, with an extraordinary line-up which I have been wetting myself with excitement about since its announcement. Normally you would expect to see bands of this size headlining their own shows, but the Crystal Castles, Magnetic Man, Everything Everything and The Vaccines are teaming up together to give you a night out that you definitely won’t forget.
Past alumni of the tour include: The Arctic Monkeys, The Horrors, Franz Ferdinand and Florence & The Machine – but never have you had acts of this caliber all on the same bill. The shows kicked off yesterday at the O2 Academy Glasgow and will cross the UK until February 19th – tickets for the Shockwaves NME Awards Tour 2011 are available now via NME.com, Gigsandtours and Ticketmaster.
