Morgan Van Dam – Trickle

Submitted by / 14 years ago / New Songs

I’m not sure whether this is just a European advert, but I have certainly been seeing it a lot whilst watching TV recently. I love it.

And to top it all off i’ve just found out that this advert is actually REAL, which totally blows my mind. It took 1256 3D televisions, and 8 month’s preparation to produce just a one minute clip.

It’s a shame though that a lot of these clever adverts that I watch these days don’t impress me since I automatically assume they are made using CGI, for example that Honda ‘domino effect’ advert which sampled The Sugarhill Gang. These guys deserve immense credit though, the concept and implementation is phenomenal.

However, there is another aspect to the video that I feel makes it all the more special – the music. It’s created by a faceless company called Morgan Van Damme who employs in-house composers to work on short audio works with the intention of selling them to companies such as Samsung for use as advert music.

That doesn’t stop them being epic though, and the piece that they chose for this clip really is my kind of music. It kind of reminded me of the finale to the movie Heat (which starred Al Pacino and Robert De Niro).

Below I have both for you to listen to and then download. Enjoy!
