We included Mononoke in our 80 Artists To Watch in 2014, based off of just one song that she released in 2013. It was a bit of a bold choice at the time, but today she has followed up her debut single “Alice” with a brand new effort called “Bones“. Mononoke is an interesting proposition as she seems to be travelling down the slightly more melancholy route that artists such as Foxes used to tread (and subsequently abandoned).

We’ve definitely liked what we have heard from her so far, but thankfully that veil of secrecy still shrouds her in enough mystery to keep us begging for more.
