Yesterday Pete Tong dropped a brand new collaboration from Steve Angello, AN21 & Max Vangeli which will probably set clubs alight all over Europe this Summer. Of course we are already familiar with this trio linking up together as they previously worked on a remix for Pendulum’s single “The Island“, but this time around they have come together for an original piece of material called ”H8rs“.

“H8rs” is the first track to come from AN21 & Max Vangeli’s much anticipated album “People of the Night“, which the duo have been working hard on for nearly two years now. “People of the Night” is expected to feature collaborations with other high profile names such as Tiësto, Example and Kim Fai, so expect to hear a lot more from this guys in 2012.

“Crew Love” was probably my second favourite song from Drake‘s most recent album “Take Care” (behind the “Buried Alive Interlude“), thanks to some choice vocals provided by The Weekend.

Using what I can only imagine are his Samson-like powers, audience members on a recent date of Drake’s “Club Paradise Tour” tour were treated to a surprise appearance from The Weekend, who delivered a seemingly effortless performance of his catchy hook.

One of our favourite artists Penguin Prison (who you will have become accustomed to on this blog thanks to the plethora of remixes he churns out), decided to run a remix contest for his brand new single “Fair Warning“, inviting people to download the stems to play around with as they pleased.

Anyway Penguin Prison finally decided on the winners earlier tonight, with three different artists winning a spot on the EP release. They included Robotaki, Muffintastegood, and Stop The Car, who all submitted wonderful entries. The Robotaki entry is probably my favourite, especially considering the fact that he knocked his creation up in just under 6 hours.

“Polish Girl” by Neon Indian was one of my favourite tracks from last year, so I’m definitely down for hearing quality reinterpretations if and when they become available. Emil & Friends has decided to step up the the plate after previously gaining notoriety for his quirky take on M83‘s “Midnight City” earlier in the year.

His rework of “Polish Girl” is probably even better though, cleverly mashing up “Nightcall” style plodding synths with some instantly catchy guitar riffs.
